I'm a season ticket holder for all but year 1. I've been waiting and waiting for a home playoff game.

So here's what happened. Each year, when the NFL Schedule comes out, my wife grabs the calendar from the fridge and marks down all the Cardinal games. Well, last week she says, the Lion King Broadway show is in town and wants to know if we should go and take the kids. I say sure, lets go and get good seats. Well, 5 seats at $92 per seat. Today, on the printer, I notice that she has purchased the tickets and they are for Sunday Jan 4th, 2009, 1pm.

That's the 1st week of the playoffs. I say honey, you purchased the tickets for the first week of the playoffs and the Cards could in theory have a home playoff game then. She says, "it's not on the calendar".

So, I have reversed mojo'd the Cards to the playoffs. I'm now 100% sure that I'll have to eat those Lion King tickets because I'm going to the game!

Hahaha...I love it! I think we all should make plans for the 4th and then see what happens - I'm calling TicketMaster this afternoon!

Don't worry, we won't play until the following week anyways. :stick:

Oooo.... Takes guts to taunt the football Gods that way. So be it.

Well done, Steve. Great anti-curse. It might work. Can't hurt.

Well, I always hope for a NFL Playoff week 1 bye, but to be more realistic, I can still hope that of the 4 games the first playoff week, that the TV puts 1 NFC game on Saturday and one on Sunday. So, I'm thinking I have got a 50% chance I can see the show and go to the game.

Then again, the Cards could go 4-12 like '91 and it would no longer be a problem. But, you know with 5 * $92 on the line, that will not happen.

Same thing....different year

It's December 1998, my brother pays for my bride to be and I to fly out to Phoenix and watch a game on the 30 yard line in the 7th row. We beat New Orleans in one of the most exciting finishes I've ever seen...

Flash forward 3 weeks and I am getting married before I head off to aviation schools command - it is the greatest day of my young life. In a period of 24 hours I get married, commissioned as an officer, and am denied the opportunity to watch the Cards win their first playoff game in my life time. How is missing the game great? Well.... due to reverse mojo, we won.
