has anyone ever tried one of these phone look up services? when you search for a phone number, it tells you to purchase a 'tracer' report is $14.95.

Nope. I just use google. If it is a residential number, I figure they just dialed wrong.

There are some free ones (and there's always Google). You do not need to pay in most cases. Especially if it is a telemarketer. Chances are someone has posted the number online somewhere.
