Arizona's Mark Reynolds set a major league record when he struck out for the 200th time this season, fanning in the second inning against the St. Louis Cardinals' Joel Pineiro. Reynolds tried to check his swing and was called out by first base umpire Ed Rapuano. Reynolds' teammate, Adam Dunn had 195 strikeouts in 2004 and 194 in 2006.

We already DUNN that two games ago, with 1241 K's. Old team record was 1239, set in the expansion year.
