MANSFIELD — The Northwest District Athletic Board has released the 2025 high school softball district tournament assignments and sites.
Richland County teams now know where their district tournaments will be held as well as who they could potentially run into on their quests for district championships. The district tournament draw will be May 4 where seeding and placements on the brackets will be determined.
Here is where each team will play in the postseason.

There will be six teams in the Division III district tournament in Willard. Ashland, Tiffin Columbian, Madison, Mansfield Senior, Norwalk and Sandusky will all battle it out for a district championship. The sectional finals will be played on May 15 at the better seed's home field before the district semifinals are played on May 22 with the finals on May 24. The district tournament will be played at 400 Dean Avenue in Willard. The winner of the district championship will play winner of the district tournament held at the University of Northwestern Ohio between Bowling Green, Celina, Defiance, Elida, Lima Senior, Shawnee and Wapakoneta in the regional semifinals.
There are also just six teams in the Division IV district tournament held in Galion. Clear Fork, Lexington, Ontario, Shelby, Upper Sandusky and Vermilion will all battle it out for a district championship. The sectional finals will be played on May 13 at the better seeded team's home field. The district semifinals will be May 20 with the finals on May 22 at Galion's Heise Park. The winner of the district championship will play the winner of the district tournament held at Fremont Ross between Bellevue, Clyde, Genoa, Lake, Perkins and Rossford in the regional semifinals.

Crestview, Edison, Galion, Huron, Oak Harbor and Port Clinton will all battle it out for a district championship. The sectional finals will be played on May 13 at the better seeded team's home field. The winner of the district championship will play the winner of the district tournament held at Patrick Henry High School between Bluffton, Elmwood, Fostoria, Liberty-Benton, Ottawa-Glandorf and Paulding in the regional semifinals.

Buckeye Central, Bucyrus, Colonel Crawford, Mansfield Christian, New London, Western Reserve and Wynford will all battle it out for a district championship. The winner of the district championship will play the winner of the district tournament held at Clyde High School between Gibsonburg, Lakota, Margaretta, Northwood, Ottawa Hills and Toledo Christian in the regional semifinals.
There are seven teams in the Division VII district tournament held at Buckeye Central High School. Crestline, Lucas, Monroeville, Plymouth, Seneca East and South Central will all battle it out for a district championship. The sectional finals will be played on May 15 at the better seeded team's home field. The district semifinals will be May 21 with the finals on May 24 at Buckeye Central. The winner of the district championship will play the winner of the district tournament held at Kenton High School between Arcadia, Arlington, Hardin Northern, Mohawk, New Riegel and North Baltimore in the regional semifinals.
