Tennessee will play in its 11th NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in program history. The Vols have also played in the Sweet 16 in 1967, 1981, 2000, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2019, 2023 and 2024.

No. 2 seed Tennessee advanced to the Sweet 16 after wins against Wofford and UCLA in the first two rounds. The Vols will play No. 3 seed Kentucky on Friday with the winner advancing to the Elite Eight. Tipoff between the Vols and Wildcats is slated for 7:39 p.m. EDT at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

With the Vols advancing to the Sweet 16, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes is set to receive a $200,000 bonus, according to Front Office Sports.

Tennessee vice chancellor and director of athletics Danny White will also receive a bonus worth three percent of his base salary. White earns $2.75 million annually and his bonus is projected for $82,500 after the Vols advanced to the Sweet 16.
