Abe Vigoda, Known for ‘Godfather’ Movies and ‘Barney Miller,’ Dies at 94

Abe Vigoda, notable for his roles in “The Godfather” and “Barney Miller,” died Tuesday at age 94, the Associated Press reports.
He died in his sleep Tuesday morning, his daughter, Carol Vigoda Fuchs, told the AP. He had been staying at her home in Woodland Park, New Jersey.
Fuchs said her father died of old age, and was “never sick.”
Vigoda played Sal Tessio in “The Godfather” and “The Godfather: Part II,” and was nominated for Emmy Awards for playing detective Phil Fish in the 1970s TV series “Barney Miller.”
