RIP Fake Pickoff Trickery

It is a sad day for baseball fans everywhere. The old fake-to-third, throw-to-first pickoff move has been banned by MLB. Any attempt to break out this old jewel will result in a balk.

Yeah, this play has always been lame. There are still lots of ways for a struggling pitcher to stall for time. I won't miss it a bit.

Good riddance to bad maneuvers. Now if only they'd not allow batters to step out of the box after every pitch.
