Geoffrey Lewis, Actor in Clint Eastwood Movies, Dies at 79

http://variety.com/2015/film/news/geoffrey-lewis-dead-clint-eastwood-juliette-lewis-1201467979/

Actor Geoffrey Lewis, who appeared in several Clint Eastwood movies and made guest appearances on dozens of TV shows in the ’60s through ’80s, died Tuesday in Woodland Hills, Calif. of natural causes, according to a family friend. He was 79. The character actor, who often appeared in Westerns, was the father of actress Juliette Lewis.

He had roles in Eastwood’s “High Plains Drifter,” “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot,” as Orville Boggs in “Every Which Way But Loose” and “Any Which Way You Can” as well as in “Bronco Billy,” “Pink Cadillac” and “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.”

Every Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can, still probably two of my most favorite Eastwood movies. Lewis and Eastwood were the perfect combo in those movies.

Yeah, it was kinda tongue-in-cheek. He was also in Tango & Cash, but couldn't find any screen shots with him and Stallone. :)

But... Bolo Yeung for the win!

It occurs to me that the big laugh smiley isn't very appropriate in this thread, so I apologize and will try and be more sensitive in the future.

RIP to a great actor that I have fond memories of.

OMG. You know your getting older when you don't realize how old some of your favorite actors are. It's sort of weird. You picture them as you remember them in film and turn around and they are 79 and passed away. It's surreal.

R.I.P.

A friend of mine told me that when you read the obituaries and most of the people listed are younger than you, it's time to get your affairs in order.....

Anyway.... RIP. His work in Eastwood's movies, especially the two "Clyde" movies, will long be remembered.
