RIP James Best - AKA Rosco P. Coltrane

What a great character Rosco was.

The actor well known as the bumbling Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane on "The Dukes of Hazzard" passed away at a hospice facility following a brief illness and complications from pneumonia, a close friend told the Charlotte Observer. He was 88.


Aside from TV roles on other shows like "Gunsmoke," "Mod Squad" and "Bonanza, to name a few, Best also formed an acting school in the '70s that taught Hollywood greats like Burt Reynolds, Clint Eastwood, Lindsay Wagner, Farrah Fawcett, and Quentin Tarantino.

Sad to see all these actors/actresses we grew up on passing away. Just the way it is, I guess...
