I loved her. Lived watching DVDS re runs and MTMS reruns...I loved her hat and always wanted to go to New York and throw my hat into the air just like her...

I know she had quite a few health problems; I hope she's resting in peace now.

Really?!? I was so little and the city seemed so big I just figured it was NY. Now I need to put Minneapolis on my bucket list! :)

If you look at my facebook profile, you will see me next to the statue of her in downtown Minneapolis.

When we were there in 2012 for softball, we stayed downtown. All of us took turns throwing our hats in the air next to the statue :)

I remember for years we avoided planning anything for Saturday night because we didn't want to miss Mary Tyler Moore Show. Quite a few years before that my kids wouldn't miss a rerun of Dick Van Dyke, with MTM, of course - one of the few shows they watched that didn't drive me off. I watched Dick Van Dyke live and in reruns yet earlier. She must have been part of my life for fifty years...
