Shirley Temple, the actor, singer and dancer who became famous as a child star, has died aged 85, according to her family.

Temple began her career at the age of three, becoming one of the most famous child stars of all time. She found early success with films such as Bright Eyes, Curly Top and Heidi, before leaving the film business in 1949.

I really enjoyed her work growing up. She was very talented and after leaving Hollywood, she became an American Ambassador. She was an example on how to act as a famous person.

What a life she had. She was one my mother's personal favorites. She has all kinds of collectables. I remember her putting on those movies all the time when me and by brothers were kids.

R.I.P....a true screen legend.
