Last couple weeks have been rough.

Talk about versatile—plays everyone’s wonderful grandpa in Cocoon and then a few years later he plays a terrifying security man at a law firm in The Firm.

Brimley was only 50 the day Cocoon came out. That’s always tripped me out.

He's one of a small handful that on any given day would make the top of my character actor list. I loved him in movies such as The Natural but my absolute top performance by him is his very short role in Absence of Malice. His 10 minutes or so absolutely steal the show. RIP Mr Brimley.
