William Asher, an Emmy Award-winning television director perhaps best known for directing more than 100 episodes of the classic 1950s sitcom “I Love Lucy,” died Monday in Palm Desert. He was 90.
He had Alzheimer’s disease, his wife Meredith told the Associated Press.
Asher also was the producer and director of the '60s classic sitcom “Bewitched,” starring his then-wife Elizabeth Montgomery. The hit series also earned him an Emmy Award as a director in 1966.
