The 2025 NFL draft is just two days away, and the Washington Commanders will first be on the clock at No. 29 overall. That means we should expect Washington to go on the clock sometime around 11 p.m. ET if the pick isn't traded.

The Commanders were busy in the offseason shoring up the roster. Unfortunately, due to the previous regime's woeful drafting, general manager Adam Peters can only fill so many holes. Fortunately, everything Peters and head coach Dan Quinn did last season worked brilliantly, led by sensational rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The Commanders enter the upcoming draft with only five picks due to trades for cornerback Marshon Lattimore, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Deebo Samuel. Washington is without picks in rounds three and five.

What would you consider the Commanders' biggest needs? An edge rusher tops the list. Additionally, Washington is likely to continue adding to the offensive line. The Commanders could also use a running back, a cornerback, a safety and a wide receiver.

While those of us who cover the Commanders have a good idea of what they need. What do other teams think? Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently spoke with various pro scouting directors across the league to evaluate each team's needs ahead of the draft.

Here's what Breer learned about Washington:

First round: No. 29.Total picks: 5.Needs: Edge, OL, S, WR.

What you need to know: The Commanders have a lot of needs, with Dan Quinn and Adam Peters having stopgapped a lot of positions last year to get the program up and running—which they did at a ridiculously high level. Getting young talent along the lines of scrimmage figures to be a priority, and finding a young pass rusher would be ideal. But with just five picks as things stand now, it would be no surprise to see Peters seek a trade out of the first round with a team that might be looking to come up for a quarterback.

That's an accurate list, although we could disagree with the order. Washington certainly needs to add another cornerback. Things will be fine if a healthy Lattimore returns to his previous form, but if he doesn't, the depth will be tested immediately.

Others are overlooking the Commanders' need for a running back. Peters and Quinn understand that need, too, which is why they've spent plenty of time on running backs expected to go throughout the draft.

This draft is unlike last year: No one really knows what Washington will do.
