I was there - we left at halftime and went to St. Pasta. It was a good choice.

I did! That and seeing Brooks tossed was the highlight of the evening. The rest was just unbearably embarrassing. The crowd was definitely booing in the 2nd quarter, myself included. Just the least likeable Suns team in a very long time.Hope you got your cowboy hat.

I was watching some of the college basketball games earlier in the day, and it struck me that even those young scrubs can execute an offense without careless turnovers all the time, and actually play hard. This group is rotten to the core.
This group is hopeless, even if they got something for Nurk, and Richards was about all they could do. He's a career backup quality player anyway. There is no viable option to fix this group. It's only getting worse from here. It's really sad. When the Suns didn't replace Nurkic at the trade deadline, that signaled to me the Suns were throwing in the towel on the season. That's awfully early to do it.
They replaced him a week or two before the deadline with Nick. Between the KD trade and the new CBA rules (which seem tailor made to screw us) our hands are pretty much tied. Sure we could have brought in a couple more big guys. And then we'd have watched them get destroyed, benched and forgotten about because you don't find decent big men in the discount bins where we have to shop. It's really sad. I think we all recognized that at one point in the season. I think it isn't something talked about that should be talked about more often just because of how much of this goes on the FO. But maybe we are tired of beating a dead horse.
Guys are long and athletic on other teams, they are not great 1 on 1 players, they run, they rim run, they jump passing lanes, they use their length while not being great pure basketball players.
Meanwhile, in the Suns F.O....
- James, are you busy? Do you have a minute?
- Sure, I have all day!
- Ehm, shouldn't you be working?

We have nothing to work with, that is our problem and it will likely remain our problem for many years. Could we have done better? Probably, but would it have made a difference? I highly doubt it.
But then you have to make a roster spot available. That means one of our streaky three point shooting guards we play at PF would have to be cut! You're so insensitive @MainstreetNick Richards was supposed to be a temporary fix. The Suns lacked quality depth at center before acquiring Richards and trading Nurkic.
Dallas has run through a myriad of big men, some who have worked and some haven't. The difference between them and the Suns is they tried.
One of the Suns biggest weaknesses is their front office is being settlers, especially when it came to the power forward and center position. Maybe if the Suns had added another 4/5 behind Saric, they might be NBA champions today. I wouldn't be surprised if this attitude hasn't permeated the team as well.
Players were out there to be had like Bismack Biyombo, Kai Jones, Jonas Valanciunas, Thomas Bryant Trey Jemison and that is only to name a few. It's not like there weren't players available. I'm so tired of the apathy in this organization.
