I cant wait to see his TD celebrations this year.
Actually, I think that he is going to begin to act like he has been there before. In his interception vs. the Rams for a TD he simply dropped the ball and ran through the end zone and then celebrated (chest bump, I think) with teammates.

Another point about the video clip... Look at where Harrison hits the ground with the ball! :hulk:

We'll see this year if Rolle can truly play FS. With the poisin pill in his contract kicking in after this year, I see him likely gone next year if he doesn't play better.

He is very talented but he has not done much so far. FS has saved his career. Lets see if he can be more than average.

I think Rolle has a lot to offer and will improve, he is one of our best athletes and I see him having more picks this season with the experience from last season at FS...he is a threat to score everytime he makes a pick and I did like the idea of Whis sticking Rolle and DRC in some of the plays on offense

Most revealing quote (when asked about fellow Flordian Anquan B whom he's close to ): "He wants to remain a Cardinal."

I want Rolle to be a Cardinal for a long time. Needs to work on some things, but proved he can make an impact at FS. I like the Q news too.

I loved seeing the improvement in him last year. I remember after game 2 or 3 thinking if things don't change, we are really going to need a FS.. and then they did. He is still new to the position, but he clearly has an aptitude for it, and I think we are going to be lucky to have him playing FS for us in 09 and beyond.

As for the video, if Boldin does want to come back, I say pay the man. He sure doesn't sound like he wants to be back though.

Remember that Rolle missed some time in preseason adjusting to his new position. He went from being very disappointing to being OK towards the end of the season. He has the strength and speed to be a good FS, his knack for the endzone is what can make him incredible.

I too liked what Rolle said about Boldin, I would like to see the Cards overpay and keep Boldin...give my favorite greedy little Cardinal his money already damn it LOL. I want to keep Boldin a Cardinal because as Fitz said, he would look strange wearing any other uniform :D

With another training camp under his belt, more talent in the back field, and "hopefully" a pass rush Rolle should have a great year.

We've been bad for so many years, that I've always had a bias in favor of shaking things up from top to bottom almost every year.

This year is different (because we proved that, with our existing cast of characters we can go all the way to the Super Bowl and almost win it).

Which makes me dig my heels in against wanting any major changes (i.e. My mantras for this year are the time-worn cliches - "Don't fix what ain't broke" and "Dance with them who brung ya.").

We know what we're getting with Q (and Edge and K-D). Will we be able to adequately replace them? Maybe. But we'd really be trading a known-factor with an unknown one, and - in an 11 man team sport - it always takes more time than expected to get the new gears to mesh.

On this note, another observation. Some teams (like the Patriots or Steelers) are considered "system teams" where you can plug in a new CB, WR or even a QB without missing a beat. I may be wrong, but I view the Cards as more of a "seize the opportunity" team that molds its system to the personnel it happens to have at the time. If so, this would suggest that the Cardinals would be more vulnerable to significant changes in personnel than a system-team.

I feel that is the mindset that causes so many super bowl losers to struggle afterwards. They feel they have a roster that got them there, and they are super bowl quality.. but the rest of the nfl sees that and says, we need to one up that team. We have set the bar for 2008, but we need to continue to improve upon it to be back next year. I think we have done that (Mcfadden is a huge piece, Clancy is a huge addition by subtraction) but I worry about standing pat and watching other teams benchmark against us.

that is exactly the way I feel about the cardinals right now Jeff and I think the FO is going to hold its ground and keep Q to that current contract till a time provides them the ability to offer an extension to him and I believe Graves has commmented so on this approach to Q.

Mr.Gollin, we are trying to get to BE a sytem team though, right? I would LOVE for Rolle to go Ed Reed on the NFL for us this year because along with AW, we'd have the best safety tandem in the league for years to come.
