Grandaddy of the all!!
Hey Jon...
What's your thought on Mike Locksley? He was interviewed by WVU to become their next head coach and the black coaches association is backing hm for a position. I cant say I know that much about him except they run a hybrid spread. How is his playcalling?
You can't have him....
I dont honestly think they want him, but he has been interviewed and some folks are backing him. No other thoughts?
Doesnt look like he goes down field much or pass other than bubble screens.
Another Rose Bowl beatdown for the Big 10.
You can't have him....
They probably would if they were in the Big 10.Talk to me whenever Arizona gets there....
Now anybody that watches that game and doesn't see how much talent USC has please speak up. That they somehow managed to lose to stanford largely due to offensive injuries is just mind boggling, their 2nd team defensive guys would all start at Stanford.
The magnitude of that upset just never ceases to amaze me.
Russ you are falling into the Big 10 trap. Watching USC beat on Iliinois does not automatically crown USC as the greatest team, by far. Illinois is a few more recruiting classes away from being elite, if everything goes well during that process.
I put USC in there with Oklahoma, LSU, Georgia, Oregon, Va Tech as the elite teams , but not the greatest.
Oh I realize that Illinois isn't that good I just still can't believe that USC team managed to lose to Stanford. they're starting the USC was the best team I saw in the last month talk and they were awfully impressive but everytime I start thinking they have a point that USC could play with TOSU or LSU, I remember watching Stanford beat them, and the thought vanishes.
I think the App State beating Michigan game sort of ruined the upset value for Stanford and USC, people just said it's a crazy year and forgot that USC was like a 40 point favorite.
Hold off on anointing OSU ( Buckeyes ).
FWIW, Scott Wolf says USC was also a bit "fortunate" in respect to timing of the game and release of grades. He had been reporting leading up to the game there was a chance of several key USC players not being eligible, it turned out because of timing the grades don't get released until I think January 14th and he's implied there are going to be several guys who will be ineligible then but will have the whole 2nd semester and summer to get reinstated for next year.
Gee, how convenient. And whatever happened to the Bush investigation? Nothing I guess. I get the feeling if that happened at Tulsa or New Mexico there would already be sanctions and virtual beheadings by the NCAA.
I don't think this is a case of USC doing anything wrong they just sort of lucked out on the dates.
Yeah, I would assume that is probably the case with all schools since we don't hear much about academic ineligibility for bowl games. Do all schools release grades the 2nd week of January? That's nice for the football players but sucks for the guys playing hoops.
