It took huge stones to not only draft him, but to also draft him with your #10 pick on the roster still.

I agree with @Chris_Sanders. This was total revisionist history.

So was the Reddick & Deone comments. Destined to become stars? Hope aside.... those two never compared to the level of hype that Simmons comes in with.

He may be a shaky drafter..... but the dude is willing to make bold decisions.

Yeah it is insane to compare Reddick or Deone to Simmons, they are not remotely in the same league. They were obvious reaches, Simmons was a top 5 player in this draft.

Side note Murray is our only mention on the NFL under 25 by PFF. Really crappy to see all the receivers we passed on last year on there. Only having a single guy on that list is the biggest reason why Keim is middling GM

There are a few ranked above that I'm not certain I would.

Having an older franchise QB makes a GMs job so much easier.

Tom Telesco? Taking Herbert high was quite puzzling and the Chargers overall havent necessarily been that well built of a team. Keim's best years are still better than his.

Outside of trades, tell me why Keim deserves to be ranked higher? His drafts are middling at best. His FA track record is meh. His management of the cap is about the same. Dude is going to do a lot more to elevate his status among GMs.
