AW gets called for way too many penalties too. So much for tackle football.

Roy Williams

The media put him in the Pro Bowl, and now are bringing him down. To any objective observer he was NEVER a pro-bowler. Just benefited from the Dallas media circus. In a 4-3 defense, he might have made a good Will LB. JMO.

Remember his rookie year? The Cards played the Cowboys, and though he played well he was totally eclipsed by Wilson. Wilson had like two sacks and an interception on three consecutive plays (something like that). Still, ESPN didn't even mention Wilson's performance and Williams got defensive player of the week. ESPN has a horrible propensity to act as a hype machine. The focus on major market stars as opposed to the best players can get tiresome.

If Roy Williams had an eight sack season like A-dub did, NFL pundits would never forget about it and continue to reference that season over and over again as an all-time accomplishment.

The NFL has taken notice of Williams illegal antics and have been punishing him accordingly, so I cant Im too upset. I just want to see A-dub recover from his injury and have another pro bowl season.

BTW, doesnt it bug the crap out of you that there are three prominent sports figures who have the name Roy Williams?? (Dallas safety, Lions wide out and UNC Basketball head coach) I hear the name on the radio and on TV and sometimes cant figure out who they are talking about

Most over-rated player in the league gets a nice little piece from ESPN. He has taken Adrian Wilson's spot on the Pro Bowl roster far too many times. The fans know he is over-rated, why does he keep getting sent to the Pro Bowl.

As a Fort Worth/Dallas resident, Williams lack of ability to cover anyone is coverage is now getting national attention. He's been overrated ever since Darren Woodson retired and now it's finally bubbling up to the point that there's talk that he'll be cut or traded by the end of camp. There's starting to be talk of his lack of passion for the game and even some questioning his desire to play at all. In the end, it couldn't be happening to a more deserving cry-baby. He blames everyone but himself when something goes wrong. It gets so tiresome hearing him throw coaches and other players under the bus when he gets burned and lash out at the media when someone questions his explanations.

In my long post of threads on "Jerry Jones- great owner, terrible GM" --

a good portion of the blame goes to Jones. He knew what he was getting in Williams coming out of college.

Jerry fell in love with the highly rated (to the layman), local prospect and tried to make him something he isnt.

Williams was stellar for a few years. As a Cowboys fan (yeah, I know) it's been tough to watch his steady decline over the past 2-3 seasons.
