RPG fans - need advice

I am a big RPG type game fan. In the mold of games like Final Fantasy and the like. None of the Online stuff, just not into it.

I have been out of the loop this past year with other things and need to find out if there have been any good RPG's that have come out this past year or if there are any supposed good ones that will be coming out?

Have there or will there be any good ones out there that others have enjoyed or have heard about any good ones coming out soon that I need to buy? Playstation 2 or PC, either one.

Man, it took me a second to figure out what you meant by RPG. I got it now.

At first I was thinking "Who the hell is an RPG fan?"

I don't know if you can classify it as an RPG or a mouse button click exercise, but Diablo 2 was pretty good. You could probably get it for $10 or less now.

I'm not really up on any current RPGs. I haven't played a game like that in a while. Sorry man.

They have a top ten list. I'm surprised that Neverwinter Nights is still on there, I think that game is pretty old now.

I'm not an RPG guy, but the three RPG's I've played recently and liked were:

Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox, PC)

Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (Xbox, PC)

Jade Empire (Xbox)


Jade Empire was made by the same company (BioWare) that developed the first KOTOR game. Great stuff. Jade is set in a fictional version of ancient China, and is basically the same kind of game as KOTOR, only with the added bonus of real-time combat controls.
