Running Linux....

Ditched Windows XP and am running SUSE Linux right now put out by Novell....

I have been wanting to refresh my Linux skills for a while and am pretty happy with it so far. Anyone else run Linux? If so what distro do you use?

It's taking me a while to remember all the shell commands but the GUI is pretty easy to navigate

My Tivo runs linux!
Hacking it will get you up to speed on basic bash commands.

We use some Red Hat at work, but its in run level 3 so I can say much for the GUI interface. I don't see much of it outside telnet.

I would like to find a nice distro to set up as a desktop workstation, but kind of afraid the wife might freak out if the giant blue "E" is missing.

I've tried using both Fedora and Debian to play around with and learn linux a bit more, but I never get very far. I'm picking up a hauppage tv card though and am going to try again and follow instructions to build a Mythtv system for work.

I have used Knoppix before to recover files quickly from a fubar'd windows install on a laptop though. Easy to do and very quick solution.

I like the Slackware and SUSE distros.... Fedora was for n00bs, it wouldn't even install the update for Firefox correctly
