Rushmore

I just watched this movie again and I can't believe it doesn't have its own thread. IMO it is Wes Anderson's best effort. I liked Life Aquatic and Tannenbaums but I enjoyed Rushmore so much more.

I watched this movie for the first time a couple of years ago, loved it. Bill Murray was awesome in this.

When Bill Murray first read the script, he thought it was so fantastic that he said he wanted to do it so badly he would do it for free.

I didnt feel this movie when I watched it a few years ago. Might be time for a rewatch.

I did however use the "O.R. they?" line the other day when my buddy gave me his address in Oregon (OR).

Agreed...I think this was Wes Anderson's best film. This movie works on so many levels....the comedy can be a bit subtle, but when you really think about it some of the scenes are hilarious. I love the High School production of Serpico.

Personally I like the movies he co-wrote with Owen Wilson the best. I really liked Bottle Rocket and I would defintely put Rushmore in my Top 5 list.

The scene where he is throwing golf balls into the pool is classic.

Great film.

I think when I saw it the first time, I hadnt seen Serpico or Apocolypse Now.
