Wilson was with the team late Thursday and most of the day Friday -- before leaving the facility without a deal in place.

Fowler mentioned that the veterans meeting with the Cleveland Browns earlier this week also went well and he is “ready to sign” somewhere -- but will likely have to wait for Aaron Rodgers to decide on his future. “[Wilson is] in a position where he can and is ready to sign somewhere, but he appears to be the backup No. 2 option in both Pittsburgh and New York -- so he’s gotta wait on the Rodgers domino to fall most likely, and Cleveland is a wild card.”
