On Tuesday, the New York Giants and 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $21 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed.

Wilson will join a quarterback room featuring the recently added Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito.

What this means for the Giants in the 2025 NFL draft is anyone's guess, but it does represent an upgrade from Daniel Jones and Drew Lock a season ago. It also gives impatient fans a little something to look forward to after a decade-plus of ugly football.

Shortly after news broke that Wilson and the Giants had come to an agreement, the Super Bowl XLVIII champion posted a meaningful nine-word message on X.

Wilson picked up his lone Super Bowl title right there on the MetLife Stadium field, defeating the Denver Broncos, 43-8, back on February 2, 2014. In fact, he has as many postseason wins in East Rutherford (1) as the Giants do (1) since the stadium was opened in 2010.

In his career at MetLife Stadium, Wilson is 4-0, having completed 70% of his passes and thrown for nine touchdowns to just one interception. He averages 8.6 yards per attempt and has posted a +0.27 EPA per dropback.

Needless to say, some of Wilson's best career moments have come at MetLife, and he feels right at home in his new home.
