In tonight's 10-inning 1-0 loss to the Dodgers, we had four hits . . . and Rusty Ryal had two of them. The second one against a side-arming righty in, I believe, the 9th inning. And Ryal is a righty hitter. And has power.
Although on a limited basis, Ryal is hitting over .300 and has a slugging percentage 151 points higher than Jackson's.
With Conor's season-long slump, following last year's Valley Fever, why not just put Ryal in LF for ten straight games and see what he can do.
A confident Manager would have the gones to give it a shot. Hinch? Yeah, right!
