Little good it does this season, since the Brewers suck.

Can't change the fact we got robbed.

He needs to give back his MVP

CBS Sportsline.com reporting Braun admitted to using PED's. Take away his mvp award and give the Diamondbacks the playoff series against the Brewers.

Yeah let's go back and play the 2011 NLCS while we're at it, Cardinals vs. D-Backs. :bang: And while we're at it let's take back any Playoff series win from any team that had any player who has ever used a PED or juiced. Oh wait, we wouldn't have a single team who has won a Playoff series this century then.

Let's also take back every MVP ever won by a player who has used a PED and steroids.

You realize that over half of the players in professional baseball have used some sort of PED or steroid in their playing career at some point, right? Some get caught and some don't. Don't act like Ryan Braun and Alex Rodriguez are the only 2 players ever to use PEDs.

You really think I was serious about giving the Diamondbacks the series win? Braun is scum and a POS liar. He did a Palmiero and told everyone he knew the truth and basically everyone who accused him were wrong.

He needs to offer apologize to the Arizona Diamondbacks franchise. Braun tested positive for PEDs in the fall of 2011, in the midst of the playoffs, and against Arizona that fall, he batted .500, with nine hits in 18 at-bats, as the Brewers edged the Diamondbacks, three games to two. Braun’s performance, aided by performance-enhancing drugs, may have directly cost the Diamondbacks’ players money and a chance to advance to the World Series.

The players’ union has gone through a tremendous evolution in its attitude toward those who violate the terms of the drug-testing system, and in the aftermath of Braun’s test, there were members of the Arizona organization who were enraged. The players voted over and over to implement and then repeatedly strengthen the drug-testing program, to ensure the level playing field, because they didn’t want some players to have an advantage over other players in trying to win jobs and earn money.

Braun cheated all of them, and in the fall of 2011, nobody was affected more directly than the Diamondbacks.

Screw you, Braun!!!

I bet that collector guy feels vindicated, even though Braun called out his integrity.

SCREW YOU, RYAN BRAUN!

Ah, memories...

"There were a lot of things that we learned about the collector, about the collection process, about the way that the entire thing worked, that made us very concerned and very suspicious about what could have actually happened."

This is a process where players are "100% guilty until proven innocent," and in this case it "was fatally flawed," Braun said. "We won because the truth is on my side."

My name's been "dragged through the mud," he told reporters. Countless "inaccurate, erroneous, and completely fabricated stories" have been circulated, and the league's response has been "a little bit sad and disappointing."

What he did to the collector rather than the Diamondbacks is by far the worst part of this story, in my mind.

Of course, he's suspended for the rest of the season, one where the Brewers are currently sitting 18 games out of first in the division. That'll teach 'em!

To settle for 65 games with no prior suspension indicates that the MLB has some serious substantial information. And apparently, the evidence for A-Rod is ever more substantial.

This is going to be very bloody in the end for many players.

Completely true but so what. The thing everyone missed in the whole Lance Armstrong case is that sort of defense is BS. The reason so many cyclists cheated, and so many baseball players cheat, is because they think they have to in order to compete.

People like Ryan Braun, and Lance Armstrong, are bad for the sport because they're cheating, and doing so quite intentionally and they're essentially forcing others in the sport to cheat to keep up with them.

Braun knew if he just did standard PED's he'd get caught, so he sought out "designer" PED's. he still got caught but then used lawyer tricks to get out of that one(just like Armstrong tried repeatedly). Then that case was dropped and he walked around bragging he was "proven innocent" and now he got what he deserved.

I don't think they can touch his past accomplishments but I do hope this ban actually materially harms him. I doubt it will, he'll still have a job when the suspension is up, but the guy cheated, lied about cheating, and then bragged about beating it, I think he deserves public humiliation.

It's the only way to get drugs out of sports is to make it incredibly undesirable.

You get caught for the first time and your service time starts over and your contract is VOID, but the team still owns your rights. Then they get to start over and prove themselves all over again.

And if you are in the minors, in addition to your ban down there, you get a three year ban from joining your MLB team.

I agree with banky, the primary result should be voiding the contract, or at least severely diminishing it. Braun got a huge pay day through his steroid use and he will still be collecting 8 figure salaries for years to come, while the Brewers franchise is stuck paying for a guy who will probably be half as productive as he once was and with no market appeal.

Yep, it's why I've been so outspoken I hope Lance Armstrong suffers major financial hits from his situation(but not Livestrong). If there's no teeth to the punishment when you're caught, people will keep cheating.

If Braun's contract was immediately voided and he maybe even had some penalty for violating a clause in it(I'd be amazed if there's nothing in contracts against doing what he did) maybe players would think twice about it.

Ryan Braun would be no worse than lots of lesser named players if he hadn't gone out of his way to brag about beating the rap the first time around, for that I personally think he needs to be made a HUGE example of.

I hope if they have similar info on ARod, that they throw the book at him, and I actually like ARod(not sure why I just always have).
