Ryan Newman said in a statement that he is being treated for a head injury that he suffered in his last-lap crash in the Daytona 500 but that he's “looking forward to getting behind the wheel and battling for another race win. Newman's statement was read by Steve Newmark, Roush Fenway Racing president. In Newman's statement, he said he suffered no internal injuries in the crash and that “the doctors have been pleased with my progression over the last few days.
