18 home runs, 18 bases after tonight. About the last thing I expected out of him.

It would be sweet if he could get there.
Not for the sake of his stats but for the sake of the team, it would be nice to see Roberts get his minutes, even if Geoff Blum gets more starts at 3B, which is happening.

How about Blum and Roberts together. I bet you Roberts would play a decent LF, with Parra moving to CF during the rest of the regular season, while resting Young's hand.

And, with his clutch hitting, Roberts would help the team a lot more than the options the D'backs have used.

Young in CF - .225 BAvg (17th on the team) - until his hand heals or

Cowgill in CF - .216 BAvg (18th on the team) - the lefty thrower is just not a good RH hitter, despite one good game or

McDonald at SS - .214 BAvg (19th on the team) - with Bloomquist moving back to LF.

I know there is not a chance in hell that management would think outside the box like that. Do you guys believe that we can absorb low .200 BAvg's in the lineup and reduce Roberts' playing time (unless he absolutely needs it)?

You are hilarious. This whole damn year has been management thinking outside of the box. Some people I swear. We have a top 5 record in all of baseball, we will win the West going away, we are in contention for 1st round series at home, we have a cy young candidate, we have a good young core for years to come, new management has already shown that they will not put up with high strike out numers, we are on a shoestring budget. Why don't you quit complaining for two minutes and just enjoy what is happening????

118, 119, 120. OK. :)

Enjoy what is happening? I sure am!

Just enjoy what is happening. No!

Especially this weekend, while we commemorate our going all the way ten years ago and surprising the baseball world.

We are embarking on playing the best of the best in the post season. And I think with our starting pitching, bullpen and part of our lineup, we are going to surprise a lot of people.

If Chris Young stops trying to popup each pitch (as he did Friday), we'll stand a better chance.

I am enjoying what is happening. And I am enjoying the thought of what could happen. That takes more than the two minutes you mentioned.

Go D'backs. Show the baseball world how good we can be. And show our hometown fans who are not filling Chase Field, so our shoestring budget wouldn't be quite as meager.
