Ryan Williams is this year's 2nd round pick.

Last year we didn't have 2nd round pick, Williams got injured way to early to consider him a part of the 2011 Cardinals. He should be thought of a rookie this year and graded as such. Consider him as this year's 2nd rounder, it will make you feel better at missing a 2nd rounder this year.

This post reminds me of when Sarver brought out amare and said the same thing after his micro fracture.

Would we really have drafted him in the second round if he was coming off a major surgery. Doubtful but nice try. Hopefully he is ok and lights it up.

Lavonte David was available when we would have been drafting in the 2nd round. Could you imagine adding him to our draft haul this year?

Love the positive spin, Fan.

Personally, I'm over the fact that we didn't have a second rounder this year. Some of you obviously are not. The draft worked out just fine, as we got 2 second round values (according to many sites) with picks 3 and 4.

Additionally, I'm of the opinion that Larry would no longer be here if we hadn't made a move for Kolb. Good or bad, it showed Larry that we were trying. I don't care about Lavonte David, Vinny Curry, or anyone else for that matter. Teams make moves, and move on - that's the way it is.

Don't kid yourself. Williams was our a 2nd round pick last year. We didn't have one this year.

We'll never get back the year of productivity lost when Ryan got injured. Cut it any way you want to - we had one 2nd round pick over the past 2 years; not two picks. (That's Show Biz).

What's next? Greg Toler is our 4th round pick this year?

In reality, Kevin Kolb is our second round pick this year. Not sure why we drafted him with his injury history and doubtful fit in the Whisenhunt offense, but hopefully he brings it this season. ;)

Calls for an absolute suspension of reality, but OK... I'll try. ;)

So much negativity.

I can't believe people are still crying about the pick. Whether it works out or not the fact that the Cards were proactive and tried to get a good QB in here is much more important than a draft pick.

Me too

Massie in the 4th helped me get over it- as if I had a choice- RWILL will need a full year to see where he we be at long term, all return from reconstructive knee surgery now a days, not all return fully to their original potential.

The Bean has not had reconstruction - knock on bone- It would be nice to have about 500 runs to 600 passes this year. I really want 50/50 but have lost all faith in Whiz - Hell pittsburg don't even run Pittsburgs offense anymore! that is why all the QB's and others are hurt. pass to damned much.

Where's the crying? Some of us just don't feel the need to trick ourselves into believing in an alternate reality. It is what it is. We had what appears to be a solid draft and we did it without a number 2 pick. We traded that pick away in an effort to fill the huge hole we had at QB. All the self-induced delusions in the world aren't going to change the fact that we did not have a second round pick this year.

Your right, there is no crying at all around here. My bad.

I don't understand. Is there something that these "many [draft] sites" know that 30 other teams in the NFL didn't (including the Arizona Cardinals)? Is the theory that 30 other NFL teams just didn't look at their draft board and notice that Bobbie Massie was sitting atop it?

So much negativity.

So... if Kolb continues his massive, successful history and leads the Cards to a 2-4 record this year before getting injured again, just the fact that the Cards "tried" makes the move successful? Was drafting Leinart a successful move, as well, because they hadn't drafted a QB in the first round in ages and ages?

I think that most Kolb skeptics are fine with him not working out so far, because the understanding is that we're done with him after this year if he's not above-average. But don't try and spin it that at least trying was a "W".

So we should view our front office the same way competitors are viewed in the Special Olympics?

I like a lot of what the team has done lately but the Kolb trade is and was a disaster from every angle.

I accept your apology. I love it when someone recognizes they've erred and steps up and accepts it. Well done. Top of the charts. :)

No, but sometimes it seems like some folks here could turn a rotten weather report into a rant against mgt.

We get it. but you don't have to beat an old horse.

Except for the fact that it hasn't played itself out, and you know not how it will... you're absolutely, absolutely right!

I hear you. But playing the whining card is required procedure in every ASFN thread where someone disagrees with a move the Cards made. So we have to live with it.

However, I can see why people would get tired of debating a topic over and over. That's why its important to keep the horse alive with new slants on the dumb things the Cards have done over the years.
