Another reason Twitter is cool. You would never hear these types of comments otherwise.

Shane did you see the back and forth between Larry and BraylonEdwards on Twitter earlier today? Love seeing that kind of insight on players and being human rather then just mocked up press releases or sound bites.

Cool comment by lil sweetness. Another unintended benefit of paying Larry is it shows the more recent additions about the commitment of the org as a whole. Guys like Dan Williams and Stew Bradley know nothing of the incompetence of the past. Just the new direction.

Haven't read through all of the more recent threads, so I don't know if this has already been brought up - but did you guys see the exchange between Kurt Warner and Fitz in the early morning hours?

Kurt was congratulating Fitz on the new contract, and joked that he'd make a comeback if Larry would split his contract with him. Of course, Rich Eisen retweeted it right away (!).

Kurt then proceeded to make a half-joking claim that Fitz owed him the money, since he wouldn't have gotten it without Kurt's help.

I think he was joking...

Did anyone see THT's tweet directly to Williams? THT is all class...

He tweeted something to the effect of: "Stay strong, you've gotta' great bunch of guys over there to support you.

This does reinforce the idea that Cardinals players are much happier this year. I have seen it with the way they have approached playing the games that I have watched so far this year. In addition, you can see on the videos from camp that they are working very hard to help and to include all the players. Most of all, I have seen the huge turn to the positive on the defensive side of the ball. Last year, this unit was decimated and devoid of good feelings altogether. This year, this unit is unusually close. The genuine care and concern is obvious. The biggest change------the addition of Ray Horton.

Fitz was on Doug and Wolf this morning talking about Williams. He said it was up to the team to pick him up mentally. Said they made sure he went with the guys to the Chris Tucker show on Saturday night.

Good stuff. It also says a lot about how tight this year's team is becoming.

Totally agree with this. I can't remember the last time I saw our Cardinals actually enjoying themselves this much. They are all much more positive than last year (Dockett even tweeted that we got something up our sleeves for all the haters) and more positive than they were even the year we went to the SB. I think you're right, with the addition of Horton. I don't think any of us understood how much they distrusted Davis' schemes. They probably figured every game it was like going into the game down 7 before they even took the field. Add to that the fact that we have a QB they believe in...and the fact that they just extended Fitz (again!)...that has to help. It gives guys confidence, not just on our team, but other dudes around the league, in the organization. They know they'll get paid if they do things the right way. Look @ Fitz, Dockett, Wilson. Paid. Last year and the year before people were asking who the "core" of our team was...they're the guys making bank. I don't understand those few people who seem to think we overpaid Fitz. If we let Fitz walk, people would go CRAZY, and it would demoralize others on our team. Signing him shows we want to win. Bad.

SB here we come (chugs koolaid).

My concern is that he ends up like Cody Brown. Injured in Pre-Season, only to be completely ineffective on his return.

Come next year, this dude is going to want it more than anybody. I really do love the way the Cards (players and the club) got his back like that. The kid has something special.

AW was on the radio yesterday saying that every year there is that one new guy who everyone loves and admires on the team. He said Williams was that guy this year.

I really do hope he can make it back to 100%. Sounds like he'll have all the support he could possibly want.

It stinks. I was so much looking forward to watching him play this year. I hate preseason games.
