As much as I like Ginobilli, if we dont get afew BIG's, we will NEVER be a serious contender...

Even though Ginobilli is more talended a player, I would much rather sign Foyle or Ethan Thomas first.

Now that the Phoenix Suns have a point guard who can do what Steve Nash does they need defense and depth. Ginobili is a pretty good perimeter defender. I'm just not sure where he fits in on this team except as a sixth man. I can't see him coming year unless the Suns move Shawn Marion or JJ. As Eric has pointed out already in another thread the fact that the Suns are talking to shooting guards who are looking for situations where they can start May indicate that they already have a deal in place to move Shawn Marion or JJ.

Maybe, I think the SUns are just trying to get guys that can SHOOT.

They have been saying this for weeks and as well as Nash shoots he is not enough. They definately need at least one more shooter.

I'm not sure I understand why Ginobili with a 41.8% shooting percentage is considered a better shooter than JJ at 43% (and much better in the second half of the season) and Marion who shot 44%. As it is, the Spurs shooters get more open looks than the Suns players because Duncan is such a good passer.
