You've got to give more props to Bull, that 1st quarter was hilarious.

What's the record for ST TD's?

I dunno...but we have the best ST unit in the league.....28 td's is simply amazing on just punt returns.

The ST unit not only scores TDs - they generally give the offense good field position.

The plan for Newcastle:

Work the inside running game more. We've been bouncing outside a lot for fun when we're playing lower teams. I guess we're stat ******.

Newcastle is for real, and we're going 50/50 inside/outside. They are in the 3-4 occasionally, so I'm trying to catch them with an inside run in that formation.

We're going a little deeper in passing then we usually do too. We've been fairly conservative in the passing game this season and I've bumped up the deep ball slightly.

When we play better teams I'll alternate what side we rush to on what down. We've been on semi-cruise since the Death Traders, but I've tossed up the rushing direction based on down/situation yet again.

This helps make scouting us a MASSIVE headache.

I've also re-altered percentages on which plays we use running. Since the Traders we've used a lot of singleback/proset stuff. Strong I will be bumped up too.

If anyone's got any suggestions, they're always welcome.

For fun, I did a mass "self-scout" on our 11 regular season games. We run a lot on first, but we've been trending toward passing on 1st the last few weeks. Because we're not afraid to run on 3rd and 5 and MAKE the 1st down we've got a much higher 3rd down rushing % then a lot of teams.

We run mostly to the right, but I don't anticipate changing that until we get a true play "flip" where the TE/pulling guards actually change sides. The left rushing plays are a nice addition, but far from perfect. Right now left plays on tosses consist of the LG pulling... and that's it. Even when I set it up to rush to the left with a TE pass blocking left it doesn't happen.

We throw to the middle most often, but with the least amount of success. It's not a big a detraction as you might think, we're asking Rock to throw where 3 LB's and a Safety usually hang out. Anything over 65% is a win. We don't throw left very often. I could set it up to try more, but I don't see the point in forcing something like that until the new D builder goes Beta.

They had one hell of a power back. I have 30 strength and 48 tackling and I had 4 missed tackles.

... I'll check it out, but needless to say, I'm pissed.

:)

lol...we got to take a breath and realize this team out ranks us in the scouting charts AND definitely boosted on us.

I honestly can't believe the defense had more missed tackles in this game when compared to the rest of the season.

Watching the game - their entire team is flying.

But lets go through the AI to find that little ******...my initial impression is just to go 5 wr short slants just to get out of the endzone.

Yeah - AsshAts is right on that. I'm surprised they don't run with him more.

Spck...did we run less % than usual?

I'm just asking - not complaining.

I amped up passing on first and rushing on second and third (and short/medium).

We got a scrimmage game coming up - lets fix that one 4th down one and keep the current settings.

If its something that is outside our comfort zone - we'll adjust it back. K?

Superspck - did you fix that 4th down glitch?

I can't seem to duplicate it through the tester.

Sounds good... except I went through the AI Tester and couldn't come up with a situation in which it didn't come up PUNT 100% from that spot. I tried being up/down, with/out timeouts...

I got nothing.

Yeah...I can't seem to duplicate it through the tester. :doi:

I did make adjustments to the goalline offense...our depth chart was kindy screwy with RB1, FB1, etc...so I put it back to the defaults.

Bort is threatened by our amazing awesomeness. It's ok, we're so good we can beat programing.

lol...it looks like the raiders need to work on their game winning FG tactics...check out their final play:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=326787&pbp_id=9874934

That is how close we came to losing. :billthecat:

Superspck - didn't we have a 2min run out the game offense? Something were run the ball heavy? If not we need to add it in because we sure came out slinging the ball around.

I wish there is a way to verify if they +5 boosted on us. I'm pretty sure they did - especially after the beat down we gave them last year.

BTW - we need to lose 2 of our last 4 games to force some sorta tiebreaker to the no. 1 spot.

So unless we go CPU - we pretty much have the home field edge throughout the playoffs!

I thought we had one installed, but I'll make sure I add a 4th Quarter run-out-the-clocker'

** Done and done. 3 Strong I and 1 Pro-set based play. 2 are FB carries, 2 are HB carries. Keep em guessing.

You could message the owner or a player on the team and congratulate them. You could then massage in a boost-related question.

I'm reviewing our defensive plays this season in preparation for the playoffs.

Before doing any changes to the tactics - I want everyone set to "wrap-up" tackle. We're starting to find more teams with power backs so we need whatever help we can get. I'm going to get a couple of CPU players (DT/DE) to give us more depth...I hadn't realized how critically thin we are in that area.

I also want everyone to go Semi-Aggressive Coverage
- we want PDs....DE's might be able to help disrupt the HB screens this way.

Doomsday will start at MLB because of his coverage speed. I'm also adjusting the CB depth chart...sticking our highest Str CB at CB2. This should help with the HB single back screen.

Update:

wickster33's DT will be available on day 32, right before the playoffs.

He's on our team for just the playoffs to help us deal with those power backs and to back-up Cain.
