Superspck:

Our Cross Up (Strong I) medium WR is turning into a money play for us...here are a couple links to look at...check out how the defense pretty much leaves the CB on 1:1 coverage.

The SS always bites towards the WR on the strongside...just enough for the WR to get open.

I've been rotating WR's to see who is the best one at it. Its been Cookie and Neito.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=396220&pbp_id=8936845 - look at the LBers ignore the WR to cover the HB on the pass route.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=396220&pbp_id=8936805 - here a LB trys to cover the WR...but only if the HB is blocking.

I'd like us to find more WR1 slants inwhich the HB goes to the weakside.

We can then use the scrimmage games to drop in the TE to pass block on the left side to see if we can duplicate the success.

Superspck:

In our next scrimmage game lets test the crap outta the Pitch Weak (Strong I) - where we run a pitch to the weak side to see the results....lets include the Weak Side Handoff (I) to see how well our FB can pick up the blitzing LBer.

We'll need to switch our LG with the RG to get better pull speed.

Can do! I'll get it done sometime today!
Edit, I see you've moved Tropic Back to RB1. That's gonna mess up pass protections. If you want speed, let me adjust the stuff, It'll mean dropping our Bruiser carries a bit.

Hold up on that change...I did it for a reason that I can't remember.

We finished up the all passing with the TE blocking the left side...here is my TEMP THREAD NOTES:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2304785&page=last#19392107

We have a scrimmage game tonight...so remember to turn off the basic off. AI....we're also just testing the weakside runs...if we suck then we need to restore our settings back to our regular package for tomorrows game.

I remember - I put Bull into the RB1 slot purely for pass protection plays to free up our TE to get involved in running the route.

During yer break we redid his equipment to be more of a receiver TE.

Tropic is RB2 - so he'll be able to get those specified plays you want.

P.Johnson has enough carry % to contribute.

Changes:

So the Thunder plays are labeled FST. He gets the tosses and half the outside rushes. He's also in half the Strong I Cross' just for fun.

HVY is still the modifier for RB1. He's gets the bruiser carries and the pass pro responsibilities.

Kidd's still the workhorse.

EDIT: I hate traditional I-set stuff.

Superspck - We need to really jack up the percentages for the Pitch Weak (Strong I)and the Weak Side Handoff (I)....in fact lets have it as our only run plays.

The scrimmage tomorrow morning is to see if these plays will work for our game against the Samurai.

Also when I say the Strong I medium pass play is our "money" play - I mean it.

We haven't missed a completion since we moved the TE blocking from the left side. I also confirmed we need the HB to also be in the pass route to draw the LBers. I really don't want variations from it (i.e. TE pass route, etc.).

As far as passing - Bort has changed the passing game since you were gone. Thats why I went 100% passing today to see the differences.

There are some plays out there where the Qb can hit the WR in stride....we need to find those.

In the scrimage game today - I made a list of some of the plays to see if its worth to try out in the morning scrimmage.

Superspck - I saved yer current stuff and reloaded the Maori 3.17.09 AI.

Go look at the settings 1st and Short W at the plays with the XX in front of them....those I like to test out throughout the scrimmage game.

Set up a new playbook/AI called WK Tester.
It's got your two rush plays and Cross the way you want it.
Should be the only 3 plays firing.
AND while I was doing that you posted some other stuff...
crap.
So I hoped you saved your changes, looking at your time codes I probably overwrote your stuff.

The results?
Don't let the score fool ya. The offense was terrible! But that's OK, we did learn some stuff:
1) Our pulling G's need a big speed boost. They rarely got in front to make the play.
2) The inside/weakside rush is legit for around 4 ypc.
3) Rock went 1/10 and had at least 3 (incomplete - bad throw) s. And 2 drops.

I restored our 3.17.09 AI...yeah to all 3 of yer points.

We need to have a guard with at least 80 speed to make the pull work...I wish we had substitution options for that.

The pass play really works with the right personel...cookie needs to be the no. 1 and bustemante no. 2.

Right now Jimmy B. is more a no. 2 decoy to stretch the secondary and bring over the safeties to allow Cookie to operate over the middle.

I added this pass play:

xxTE Deep Curl (I) w/ both backs blocking...I was really impressed with this play against our D: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=453362&pbp_id=11230538

Also I'm going to tryout the starting guards in their new spots for this game. I want to see how Tubby "Fat" Hubby does against their DT and if Paul G. will help jazz up the rushing game on the strongside.

Decoys only work if you use them every once in a while...just saying...

Start catching the damn ball. :)

In 9 games (scrimmage and regular) - a total of 51 throws yer way...11 caught...5 dropped - averaging 27%.

Good news is that's the worse it can get - Keep working on your agility and catching - 60 being the goal and you'll get that percentage up 50%+

You sure about that? Let's look at last game's line...

- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante, hurried by BUBBA BARREL, up the left side [deflected by Line Backer2] (incomplete - bad throw)
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante up the right side [deflected by Nick "Knuckle Sandwich" Nelson] (incomplete - bad throw) (turnover on downs)
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante up the right side [deflected by Balls of Steel] (incomplete)
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante up the right side [deflected by Nick "Knuckle Sandwich" Nelson] (incomplete)
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante up the right side, out of bounds (incomplete - bad throw)
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante up the right side (incomplete - bad throw) (turnover on downs)
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante up the right side (5 yd gain) [tackle: Nick "Knuckle Sandwich" Nelson]
- Sergeant Rock pass to Jimmie Bustamante, hurried by Bubba Damage, up the right side [deflected by Nick "Knuckle Sandwich" Nelson] (incomplete)

That's works out to:

8 Targets
3 Bad Throws
3 Deflections
1 Bad Throw that was Deflected
1 5 yard catch

Looks like Sgt. Rock is averaging suck%.

There aint no "I" in team...and there aint no "we" neither.

Someone has got to get to work on Sgt. Rockhead cuz' Jimmie aint here for 5 yard crossing routes.

Can a brotha get a chance to stretch his legs and have the ball reach him? Or is that like Jimmie having his cake and eatin' it too?

Maybe Jimmie is asking too much of the rest of the team...not everyone can be as good as Jimmie.

Ohhhh, our very own TO!!

8 catches for 131 yards and a TD.

That's what Jimmie's talkin' 'bout! Just get Jimmie the damn ball!

And by the way, those 3 "drops" today weren't drops at all...they were knockdowns!

Jimmie don't want the ball in traffic!
