Sabres and Sharks swap Campbell, Bernier (AP)

Sabres All-Star defenseman Brian Campbell has been traded to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for right wing Steve Bernier and a first-round pick in this year's draft. The Sabres also give up a seventh-round draft pick. Bernier has 13 goals and 10 assists in 59 games this season. The Sabres made the trade after contract talks with Campbell broke off this past weekend.
