Barry Bonds has left the Giants on a bereavement leave. Looks like his dad Bobby Bonds is close to death.

I grew up in New Jersey and remember watching Bobby play for the Yankees. He also wore #25. I remember a game I went to and Bobby was on first and the opposing pitcher threw to first like 10 times in a row before throwing a pitch. Booby had power and was a threat to steal, just like Barry was when he was younger.

I believe Barry is a top five player in the history of baseball. Many don't like him but you can't ignore his stats and play. I don't have any ill will towards him and like to offer my condolences.

No matter how much I despise Barry Bonds, he is still a human being (except when he is on the field, there he is god-like). My condolences and best wishes to him and his family.
