Drew Brees connected with Marques Colston on a 22-yard scoring strike, and the New Orleans Saints led the Dallas Cowboys 7-3 after the first quarter Sunday night. Getting Colston involved was an encouraging sign for the Saints one week after the veteran receiver sat out New Orleans' 26-20 loss to the Jets in New York a week earlier. On the touchdown, Darren Sproles made a key block on blitzing linebacker Barry Church, giving Brees enough time to find Colston over the middle. For Sproles, the key block atoned for an earlier muffed punt that gave the Cowboys the ball on the Saints' 22-yard line after a diving recovery Dallas' Dwayne Harris.
