Just looking at this and the Cardinals have the second highest amount of dead cap in the league for 2019. The Dolphins are first at $13.5M followed by the Cardinals at $10.5M with the Gmen third at $9.2M After that no one is above $5M except for Denver at $7.5M

I thought Keim was supposed to resolve the dead cap space. Seems like he hasn't gotten a handle on it yet. I guess his FA mistakes are catching up with him.

Right now they are projecting $45M in available cap to spend but that will quickly go down $10M or so with the resigning of Fitz. There is not too much cap space to use on many FAs.

2019 Dead Cap

Cap breakdowns for players who have been traded or released. All count against the team's salary cap. When did they release Iupati?

Sam Bradford QB - $5,000,000
Mike Iupati G - $1,200,000 + $2,542,500 in restructured bonus money
Andre Smith RT - $1,292,500
Brice Butler WR - $150,000
Will Holden T - $134,064
Chris Campbell CB - $128,054
Evan Boehm G - $126,620

You can see this if you scroll down to the bottom of the page at the web site.

The cool thing about this site is you can play around with releasing and adding FAs to the roster.

Compared to how things were when he first took over the job, he most certainly has and keep in mind, half of this number involves 1-signing a year ago. Contracts are largely about structure, so there is no shortage of CAP space to meet FA wants and needs.

The $45m is after deducting the new Fitz deal.

I have no idea how up to date these figures are so it may be quite accurate or may be off by millions. Since Over the cap shows $61M and Spotrac shows $45m that's a difference of $16M which is more than Fitz contract of $11M so I wonder where the other $5M discrepancy is?
