Looks like the Cards will get an additional $1.6 million in cap space this year. Redskins and Cowboys apparently abused the 2010 uncapped year so badly that the League has stripped them of $46 million in cap space ($10 m - Dallas, $36 million - WASH) and redistributed it to other teams.

Great, now we have the space to sign Peyton!!! (kidding)

No. But, it does mean that with this and the transfer from last years CAP, the Levi cut would be sufficient to get us under at this point.

Casual observation here...the Cards organization is unique in that they have the innate ability to never spend all their money AND have salary cap concerns/issues.

At $119M the Cards spent the most in the League on salary in 2011.

36 million ?

Wholy moly.

Fun to laugh at, but I will tell you this. It will be the BEST THING that ever happened to the Redskins.

It is an excuse for the Skins to purge their roster, and start anew.

Cause taking 46 million off the cap is like saying you are not allow to have any big time money players.
