Sammy's hitting philosophy is a good one. He's the only player in history to hit over 60 homers three times (even in this era of tight baseballs and not quite Major League starting pitchers).
He says that you're going to get one good pitch to hit each at-bat!
The good hitters (a) recognize that pitch (in a split second) and (b) can drive it.
How I wish that the D'backs, especially this year's roster, would recognize that. And that players like Finley, Williams, and yes even Womack, wouldn't go up and indiscriminantly try to drive every pitch they see!
