It is getting reported that Dan Snyder has opened up his wallet again and inked Sapp to a 5 year 33 mil contract.

I'll be doing the same. All this and they have a good draft pick.

I sure wouldn't want to be Suzy when she interviews Snyder after his team loses in round one of the playoffs.

Remember when they had the 100 million dollar team a couple of years ago? That was when we were 3-13 but we beat them at home. Aeneas had that fumble return. What a fun game that was.

I don't think a team has ever been able to buy a championship in the NFL like you can in other sports. The reason is simple, you have 16 games during the season to get it right and then you go sudden death in the playoffs.

In baseball or NBA, you can afford to screw up in one game....in the NFL, your QB has a mediocre night, you are going home. No way the Skins win the SB

If they even get to the playoffs, it will be more to do with Gibbs' coaching than anything else.

Saved the stadium IMO.

Who here wouldn't want Danny Boys deep pockets for the Cardinals. I would have liked to have seen us get Sapp. What DT do we have that is better than Sapp.

but all they have is 2 draft picks the whole draft that sucks for the future and depth. Plus after all of these big names, they got nothing for depth. That is why the titans have never made it to the super the last few years the have no depth. On eplayer gets injured and they all of a sudden have a huge hole. the Pats and carolina were so good becuase they have great depth and dont skip a beat when a guy is out.

All the more amusing when they go 7-9.

They do this every year and get no results. People should just be mocking them at this point rather than getting upset.

Sapp's great but his best days are in the rearview. Brunell hasn't been good (or healthy) for years.

Half their acquisitions from last year (Fiore, Noble, Canidate) are already gone.

Yup, I'm well aware of that. It's a good point. We keep hearing how the Pats did it with so many different players given the number of injuries they had. I'm not worried about the Redskins. They'll have 2 good seasons at best before they're screwed (and yes, there is a cap... :))

The best thing they have going for them this time around is Gibbs as head coach. Anyone remember when he was on Coryell's staff? He said Bill Bidwill never told the staff they were fired, he simply changed the locks on the doors and when their keys didn't fit, they knew they'd been fired.

I think it can be said that the Skins and the Cards are at the two extreme ends of the NFL..........5 years $33 mil, WOW.

I guess someone just made this up I guess. It was posted on the Bucs board and someone else heard it on the Redskins board that it was OFFERED. No done deal. It spread like wildfire on the NFL board of ESPN. I searched high and low and could not find it anywhere. Not a mention of it on Sportcenter or ESPN news. Not on KFFL or Sportsline. So I guess everything is pure speculation. I appologize. LOL.

I haven't heard the redskins contacted Sapp. I know the Raiders have been thinking about it but they are the only team.
