Good luck Curt and thanks for the 2001 title. Now it looks like the Diamondbacks are going to trade either Fossum or De La Rosa for Sexson.

We better get Sexson after trading Schill... I will still be a fan of the team, but if they let Schill go and not pick up some bats, I am going to be PISSED!

Now that Curt has been traded, I want to see Sexson here. Although ironically, he will be (as Curt was) a free agent at the end of next season.

Richie Sexson's HR bat plays into Bob Brenly's style of managing.

I'll miss the guy for two reasons, one because he is a hell of a competitor and great pitcher, and he's the best sports interview in town.

I understand the trade, but when it was annouced tonight I got depressed. RJ may be the greatest dbacks pitcher of all time, but Curt was the one I always felt most confident in when he had the ball. I know we had to trade him, but this really really sucks.

"(Thursday) night, I was pretty tired, pretty wiped," Schilling said. "I was sitting in front of my computer, and I just happened to surf across a couple of different Red Sox fan Web sites. It's like logging on to a different country."

Subtle dig at Arizona Fans? :(

I didn't take that as a swipe at D/backs fans, but more of an acknowledgement of a fan base that is fanatical as only one can be with an historic franchise like Boston. With only a few seasons under our belt, we don't even have a rivalry that comes close to the Sox and Yankees. There are things we, the D/backs fans, can only build and learn with time. The WS championship shortened our learning curve and we will always be grateful for Curt's role in that. Godspeed, Big Guy and dispel "Aura and Mystique" again!!

Hate to see him go. You always knew Curt was prepared when he stepped onto the mound. Rarely was that not good enough.

That's all you can ask for from the team you're rooting for.

Trying to look on the bright side.

I have no idea what this means for the future of the Dbax. Hopefully, a big bat like like Sexson takes the pressure off Gonzo (and he can go back to being a .335 hitter). That is, IF they land Sexson.

Better pray RJ stays healthy.

Times are a changing in Dback land.
