Hero hurler Curt Schilling, who had some trouble finding his missus, Shonda, in the celebratory crush for some Major League PDA, said this championship was different from his other Arizona Diamondbacks win.
``Here you had almost a century's worth of misery and all these talented Hall of Fame players who came before us and never won a world championship,'' said Schilling, who later joined Pedro Martinez and David Ortiz on the pitcher's mound to film their Disney World commercial.
``This is to satisfy the millions of people in Red Sox Nation,'' he said. Schilling's wife, Shonda, said her husband will postpone his ankle surgery until after the victory parade. ``We wouldn't miss this for the world,'' she said.
