Load up for next year and Tony Gonzalez would be a great fit. maybe even allowing us to - GULP - trade Boldin.

Well, the cost in draft picks is what would be prohibitive.. during the season they want a 2.

I wouldn't trade Boldin for even both of them. But I'd let have Leinart. Yeah, Leinart for Johnson and Gonzalez, sure.

there was some speculation during this past season that nobody wanted to trade much for Gonzalez because his salary is very large for this upcoming season --- and there was speculation that he could be a cap casualty this offseason

He would be an ideal fit -- and if Warner comes back the Cardinals would offer a west coast team with a passing offense and a great shot at the post season.

He's already been through 12 seasons and will probably only give us 1 or 2 seasons more at top performance. Not worth 2 picks or Q. If a straight up 1 or 2 year deal no compy then sure.
