Tens of thousands of England fans and a few thousand Denmark fans were arriving at Wembley Stadium in North West London on Wednesday (July 7) for the Euro 2020 semi-final clash between England and Denmark.COVID-19 crowd capacity restrictions have been relaxed slightly to allow 60,000 tickets to be sold, two thirds of Wembley's 90,000 capacity, with around 8,000 made available to Danes already living in the UK.Denmark supporters from outside the UK were unable to travel to London to support their team because they would have been unable to complete 5 days of quarantine since their quater-final victory on Saturday (July 03).Euro 2020 has been blamed for a surge in coronavirus cases as fans have flocked to stadiums, bars and spectator zones across Europe to watch the action while the pandemic still raged. Tournament organizer UEFA says it is fully aligned with local health guidelines at every venue.The Danish team and its supporters have been riding a wave of emotion since playmaker Christian Eriksen survived a cardiac arrest in their group stage opener in Copenhagen.The match gives England the chance to reach a first major final since their 1966 World Cup triumph but they will need to banish a history of stumbling at this stage, losing four major semi-finals since 66.
