The Seattle Seahawks have been consistently linked to tight end prospects in the 2025 NFL draft. And now the team is hosting one of the premier prospects on a pre-draft visit. Former LSU tight end Mason Taylor is among the Seahawks' in-person "30" visits, according to a report by Tom Pelissero.
Taylor was a big-time weapon for the Tigers offense this past season. The Plantation, Florida native recorded 55 receptions for 546 yards and two touchdowns, posting career-high marks in most major receiving categories. It represented a developmental step forward for Taylor as he became a go-to target for quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
Taylor recently participated at LSU's Pro Day after a minor injury prevented him from working out at the NFL Combine. Taylor ran a 4.65 in the 40-yard dash, posted a 4.52 in the shuttle, and 7.06 in the three-cone drill. He also put up 28 reps in the bench press. Those would have been top-five results among tight ends in Indianapolis in the 40, three-cone, and bench.
The Seahawks currently have Noah Fant and AJ Barner at tight end. Barner is an ascending sophomore, but Fant is an aging asset who may be entering his final campaign in Seattle. Taylor would be a long-term solution.

Former LSU TE Mason Taylor had a visit with the #Chargers on Thursday.
Taylor also has visits with Seattle and Cleveland coming up, as well as a stop with his father Jason’s old team in Miami.
