They are simply better than we are and the small crowd will be no factor.

Just like it wasn't at the New Orleans game? You better share that fact with the Saints and the Cardinal players who most definately were affected by us at the game.

You were there, we were crazy loud for how many of us that were there. I can't remember a game being that loud since the 98 finale.

I really have no idea...I thought this was a sure loss but now I don't know. The Hawks are beat-up and underachieving, and the Cards have averaged 30 points on offense in the last 2 games. Green says he has retooled his offense...well we'll see. I do feel strangely optimistic...but then again I felt optimistic about the 49er game...

27-16 - Hawks. Regardless of the Hawks losing their last two games - they are one of the best tams in the league and up to till this point I haven't seen us show the ability to play with the best teams (Atlanta's 5-1 record is a mirage IMO - although I think they're decent - they are no where near Elite).

The Hawks have too much talent and there won't be the coaching gap between DG and Homlgren that there is between most of our other match-ups this year.

Hawks 17-10. Our defense and their receiver problems allow us to focus on Alexander, though he still burns us for over 100 yards and a TD. Our offense remains mostly ineffectual. Our run game suffers from a lack of a RB who can hit holes, and though holes open, our RBs can't get there quick enough. Josh has another high completion percentage, but runs around too much, takes a few sacks he shouldn't, and is unable to make a play to spark the offense.

All right, now...Emmitt, Troy, anybody, step it up...Josh, please show something, and defense, shut down Alexander...I want to eat my words on Sunday!

Without the 9ers game difference, the results are similar. I fail to see why Seattle is so highly touted.

Seahawks.

Our defense breaks down again, but our offense shows up.

20-16 Seahawks.

They will try to establish the run and pick on our linebackers in the short passing game to draw the safties in, then will try to force Macklin to cover upfield with his back turned if they can catch him in single coverage. Stopping the run, a decent inside pass rush and Darling in coverage will be key factors. Starks a big plus if he's healthy enough. Our defensive tackles will have their work cut out for them this week.

On offense, someone needs to start taking some attention away from Fitz. Anybody.

Looking forward to seeing how McCown does this week.

Lex - they're so highly touted because they made the playoffs last year, they kept their entire team intact, added to it and then went out and crushed the Saints on the road, then beat the Bucs on the road (winning as many games on the road already this season as opposed to all of last season) and then came home to CRUSH the Niners and then completely BLOW a game they dominated against the Rams - then they proceeded to give NE their second best game of the season.

And you can't just take out the Niners game - they beat them 34-0 we lost to the same team - that IS one of the reasons they are touted as better so to ignore skews the entire argument.

Once again - I'll go back to my early season feelings in games - I just hope we are able to keep it competitive in the first half - I'll be happy with that because it will give us a shot in the second. (I know - Captain of the Obvious here)

No way the Seahawks lose 3 in a row. Just doesn't happen when the Cards are game three.

Seahawks 38-27

But I know the crowd will be LOUD. Especially section 28.

Hopefully the Cards win the turnover battle and slip by with some improvement from the offense.

Josh McCown has yet to see a secondary as talented as that of the Seattle Seahawks. They will man up with our WRs, and the front seven can focus on the run almost exclusively.

That being said, the bye week and Seattle's banged-up roster work to our advantage. I don't think that Josh has the awareness to try and take advantage of the absences of Grant Winstrom and Chad Brown (he hasn't shown the awareness to do it against other opponents), so it might be null on the offensive side of the ball, but it will help the defense, a little.

Cards: 16
Seahawks: 27

The game isn't as close as the score indicates, and Josh takes five sacks and hucks two INTs. Maybe three.

We shut down Alexander and prevail 28-14.

Then we lose to the Bills and Dolphins.
