When taking a look back at the first two weekends of the 2025 SEC baseball season, there are certainly results that have caught the attention of fans across the conference.

A conference home to many of college baseball's top teams, a total of four teams are currently tied atop the latest SEC regular season standings after two weekends of action, while a few others are also winless, some of which are a bit surprising.

However, how have those results impacted our SEC baseball power rankings, which were last updated prior to the start of conference play?

Here are our updated baseball conference power rankings following the first two SEC series' of the 2025 season, with the records and statistics mentioned current as of Wednesday, March 26.

16. Missouri Tigers​

  • 2025 Record: 9-14 overall (0-6 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Illinois (N) - Loss at LSU, vs. Ole Miss
  • Next Game: vs. Texas on March 28

Missouri's struggles to start the season carried over into SEC play, with the Tigers now sitting at 9-14 overall after a winless beginning to conference action being swept by both LSU and Ole Miss to extend their losing streak to seven games, but did however recently snap that skid with an 11-9 neutral field win over Illinois. Still searching for win No. 1 in SEC play, Missouri will be back in conference action March 28 against Texas.

15. Texas A&M Aggies

  • 2025 Record: 12-12 overall (0-6 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, vs. HCU - Loss vs. Alabama, at Vanderbilt
  • Next Game: vs. Kentucky on March 28

It has been a disappointing start to SEC play for the Texas A&M Aggies, as the 2024 national runner-up has dropped both series' against Alabama and Vanderbilt, being swept in both to now sit at 0-6 in conference action. Texas A&M has also picked up midweek wins over both Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and HCU recently to now sit at 12-12 overall, and will be back in action March 28 looking for their first SEC win vs. Kentucky.

14. South Carolina Gamecocks​

  • 2025 Record: 17-9 overall (1-5 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Oklahoma, vs. College of Charleston (N) - Loss vs. Oklahoma, at Arkansas, vs. North Carolina (N)
  • Next Game: vs. Tennessee on March 28

South Carolina has also struggled a bit since the start of SEC play, now sitting at 17-9 overall, as well as 1-5 in the conference, following a road sweep at Arkansas, as well as a home series with Oklahoma in which the Gamecocks took one-of-three. Also recently losing a neutral field contest to North Carolina, 13-8, things will not get any easier for South Carolina this weekend when top-ranked Tennessee comes to town for a three-game set.

13. Mississippi State Bulldogs​

  • 2025 Record: 16-9 overall (1-5 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Jackson State, at Oklahoma, vs. Samford - Loss vs. Texas, at Oklahoma
  • Next Game: at LSU on March 27

Mississippi State now sits at 16-9 overall, as well as 1-5 in SEC play, following a start to conference action in which the Bulldogs were swept at home against Texas, as well as dropped two-of-three at Oklahoma. The Bulldogs now play another road series this weekend against LSU in Baton Rouge, which starts Thursday, March 27.

12. Kentucky Wildcats​

  • 2025 Record: 15-8 overall (2-4 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win at Georgia, vs. Auburn - Loss at Georgia, vs. Murray State, vs. Auburn, vs. Xavier
  • Next Game: at Texas A&M on March 28

Aside from a SEC win over both Georgia and Auburn, both of which they lost the series, the Kentucky Wildcats have had a struggling recent stretch that also includes a pair of midweek losses to both Murray State and most recently, Xavier. Kentucky now owns a 15-8 overall record, as well as a 2-4 mark in SEC play, entering a weekend three-game series at Texas A&M.

11. Auburn Tigers​

  • 2025 Record: 20-5 overall (4-2 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Vanderbilt, vs. Alabama State, at Kentucky, vs. South Alabama (N) - Loss vs. Vanderbilt, at Kentucky
  • Next Game: at Georgia on March 28

Auburn's start to SEC play has included a pair of Game 3 wins over both Vanderbilt and Kentucky in order to take those series', bringing the Tigers record now at 20-5 overall, as well as 4-2 in conference action. Next up for the Tigers however is Auburn's toughest test yet, a road series against Georgia in Athens.

10. Florida Gators​

  • 2025 Record: 18-9 overall (0-6 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Jacksonville, vs. Florida A&M - Loss at Tennessee, vs. Georgia, vs. Florida State (N)
  • Next Game: at Ole Miss on March 27

The Florida Gators have had a forgetful start to SEC play sitting at 0-6 against conference opponents, but have also played one of the toughest schedules to begin in-conference action by facing both Tennessee and Georgia. Florida, who is now 18-9 overall, has also recently lost a neutral field contest against rival Florida State, and will be looking for their first SEC win this weekend at Ole Miss.

9. Ole Miss Rebels​

  • 2025 Record: 19-5 overall (4-2 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Arkansas, at Missouri, vs. Memphis - Loss vs. Arkansas, at Southern Miss
  • Next Game: vs. Florida on March 27

The Ole Miss Rebels originally began SEC play with a series loss at home against Arkansas, but have also bounced back nicely with a road sweep at Missouri to take their first conference set of the season. Ole Miss now owns a 19-5 overall record, as well as a 4-2 mark in SEC play, entering a March 27 series opener against Florida.

8. Oklahoma Sooners

  • 2025 Record: 21-3 overall (4-2 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win at South Carolina, vs. UT Arlington, vs. Mississippi State, at Oral Roberts - Loss at South Carolina, vs. Mississippi State
  • Next Game: at Alabama on March 28

Oklahoma has won both of their SEC series' so far this season, which came on the road at South Carolina, as well as at home against Mississippi State. The Sooners, who are now 21-3 overall, as well as 4-2 in the SEC, will return to conference play March 28 on the road at Alabama for a high-profile three-game series.

7. Vanderbilt Commodores​

  • Recent Results: Win at Auburn, vs. Belmont, vs. Texas A&M, vs. Eastern Kentucky - Loss at Auburn
  • Next Game: vs. Arkansas on March 28

After a series loss at Auburn to open SEC play, Vanderbilt bounced back in a big way last weekend at home with a sweep over Texas A&M in which they outscored the Aggies a combined 16-9. Combining those results with a pair of midweek wins over Belmont and Eastern Kentucky, Vanderbilt now sits at 20-5 overall riding a five-game winning streak, as well as 4-2 in SEC play, entering a big weekend series against Arkansas, one that they will host.

6. Alabama Crimson Tide

  • 2025 Record: 23-3 overall (4-2 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win at Texas A&M, vs. South Alabama, vs. Tennessee, vs. North Alabama (N) - Loss vs. Tennessee
  • Next Game: vs. Oklahoma on March 28

The Alabama Crimson Tide have continued their impressive start to the season into SEC play, sweeping Texas A&M in College Station, while also taking one-of-three over Tennessee in Tuscaloosa this past weekend to now sit at 4-2 in conference action, as well as 22-3 overall. Alabama's next game is a series opener with Oklahoma on March 28.

5. Arkansas Razorbacks

  • 2025 Record: 23-3 overall (5-1 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win at Ole Miss, vs. Oral Roberts, vs. South Carolina - Loss at Ole Miss, vs. Missouri State
  • Next Game: at Vanderbilt on March 28

The Arkansas Razorbacks have impressed recently to start SEC play with series' wins over both Ole Miss and South Carolina, but are not ranked as highly here due to a midweek loss Tuesday night in which they fell to Missouri State in extra innings, 14-13. Ahead of a weekend road series at Vanderbilt, the Razorbacks sit at 23-3 overall, as well as 5-1 in SEC play.

4. LSU Tigers​

  • 2025 Record: 23-3 overall (4-2 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Missouri, vs. New Orleans, at Texas, vs. UL-Lafayette - Loss at Texas
  • Next Game: vs. Mississippi State on March 27

After a sweep of Missouri, the LSU Tigers dropped one of the SEC's top series' this past weekend at Texas, falling in Games 2 and 3 after an impressive 8-2 victory in Austin. LSU's record now sits at 23-3 overall, as well as 4-2 in SEC play, entering a conference three-game set with Mississippi State on March 27.

3. Texas Longhorns​

  • Recent Results: Win at Mississippi State, vs. LSU, vs. Sam Houston - Loss vs. UTSA, vs. LSU
  • Next Game: at Missouri on March 28

Texas' first-ever SEC conference action is off to a strong start, sitting at 5-1 after a pair of series' wins against both Mississippi State and LSU. The Longhorns, who will play Missouri this upcoming weekend in Columbia, are sitting at 20-3 overall for the season.

2. Georgia Bulldogs

  • 2025 Record: 25-2 overall (5-1 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Kentucky, at Florida, vs. West Georgia - Loss vs. Kentucky
  • Next Game: vs. Auburn on March 28

Entering this weekend riding a five-game winning streak, which is tied with Vanderbilt for the longest in the SEC at the moment, there are few teams who have impressed more in conference play than the Georgia Bulldogs, who now sit at 25-2 overall. Also 5-1 in SEC play, Georgia is coming off a weekend sweep at Florida in which they outscored the Gators a combined 40-13, and will look to continue that level of success this weekend against Auburn.

1. Tennessee Volunteers​

  • 2025 Record: 22-2 overall (5-1 in SEC)
  • Recent Results: Win vs. Florida, at Alabama - Loss vs. ETSU, at Alabama
  • Next Game: at South Carolina on March 28

After rising into the No. 1 spot during the latest update, the Tennessee Volunteers continue to be ranked first in the SEC power rankings following a stretch where they suffered their first loss at home against ETSU, but also won two series' against both Florida and Alabama, the former of which was a sweep. Tennessee's record now sits at 22-2 on the year, as well as 5-1 in SEC play, ahead of another road series this upcoming weekend at South Carolina.
