The conference tournaments are finally over. It's nearly time for March Madness.
First, the committee will decide which teams will be chosen for the NCAA Tournament on the men's and women's sides.
After losing to Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference tournament Friday, the Texas men will watch intently Sunday to see if they're among the 68 teams selected. Vic Schaefer's team, however, probably locked up a top-two seed despite losing to South Carolina 64-45 in the finals of the SEC tournament. Texas women's basketball lost three times this year, once to the Fightin' Irish and twice to the Gamecocks.
Texas A&M's men fell to Texas in a thrilling double overtime game 94-89, while the women were decimated by Tennessee 77-37 in the first round. The Aggies men were a lock before their tournament began while the Aggies women needed a tournament title to make the Big Dance.
