There's a pretty interesting rumor floating around, some of you may have heard it, others not..
As all of us know by now, 2008 is the swan song for the Tucson Sidewinders, as the team has been sold and will be relocating to Reno, Nevada.
What we also know is the fact that this move all but slams the door on the Reno Silver Sox, or the late Mesa Miners for those keeping track, at least as a Golden League Baseball squad (I'm hearing the team is going to adopt the moniker for the PCL team). Rumor making rounds though is that Jay Zucker is supposedly "very interested" in purchasing the team and moving them to.... you guessed it, Tucson where it's believed that he'll re-brand the team the Toros.
Just some interesting food for thought. I'm assuming the team would play at TEP, but that seems rather big for Golden League standards. Would they play at Hi Corbett, which seems more appropriate for a smaller independent league?
