So, Amare is going to be number 1 next year, and that immediately spawned thoughts of Hardaway (hopefully they will only share the same number) which then got me thinking about past number 1's and so on.

It also then dawned upon me that some of the suns most likeable players have worn #3 (and a couple more have 3 in their jersey numbers).

So my question is this: Who was your favorite player to wear #3?

That's tough. Chapman was good but I never really saw him much. I loved Marbury and what he did for us, especially in the 4th quarters. I HATED Q. I think I will vote Diaw because he is our future. I have loved watching him improve this year and expect him to be an all-star soon.

I can't vote. My computer takes too long to do it, I don't know why. :(

Never mind...lol

Boris will probably end up being my favorite, but right now it's definitely Marbury. I loved him as a Sun. He comes with this horrible reputation and he was nothing like it.

Rex Chapman so far, but Diaw probably changes that in a year or two.

Had to vote for Rex...that 3 he hit against Seattle in 97 was huge...and it was the first pay per view game my parents had purchased for me...I was running all around my house yelling and screaming...Maybe that's why it was the last ppv game they ever got for me?

I was going to post the same thing - that 3 against Seattle will always be etched in my memory, turn around, running out of bounds from the arc... swisheroo!

Whatta-shot!

I bought a Chapman jersey after that game!

Chapman without a doubt. Never liked Marbury as a Sun, tried... never did. Boris after another year or two with this play might just take over though.

Well I guess penny will not get his number retired now and this will probably keep him off our ring of honor;)
